The M.Sc. (Digital & Cyber Forensics) program at MGM University's School of Basic & Applied Science provides advanced training in investigating cybercrimes and analyzing digital evidence. Students develop specialized expertise in forensic data acquisition, malware analysis, network forensics, mobile device examination, and evidence preservation while gaining practical experience through dedicated forensic laboratories, case simulations, and industry-standard tools used in professional investigative environments.
The curriculum balances technical proficiency with legal frameworks, preparing graduates for specialized roles in law enforcement agencies, corporate security divisions, and forensic consultancies. With focused coursework in incident response, cryptanalysis, cloud forensics, and expert testimony preparation, students learn to conduct thorough investigations while maintaining chain of custody and legal admissibility. Through collaborative projects with cybersecurity organizations, courtroom simulation exercises, and research on emerging forensic challenges, graduates emerge equipped with the analytical capabilities, technical skills, and procedural knowledge needed to uncover digital evidence and combat sophisticated cybercrime in evolving technological landscapes.
