M.Sc. Statistics is a two-year postgraduate program which is being divided into four semesters. In the M.Sc. Statistics program includes core courses covering advanced probability theory, statistical inference, linear models, multivariate analysis, time series analysis, and statistical computing.
Elective courses offers two Specializations as
1) M.Sc. Statistics (Specialization in Data Science)
2) M.Sc. Statistics (Specialization in Industrial Statistics)
Students complete a research project, on job training and engage in professional development activities to prepare for careers in academia, industry, or government. The program equips students with advanced knowledge and skills in statistical theory, methods, and applications, positioning them for roles as statisticians, data analysts, researchers, and more.
Eligibility
B. Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics/ B. Sc. (Hons.) Statistics or Bachelor of Science with optional Subject is Mathematics or Statistics and Nonzero score in MGMU-CET-2024.
