MGM University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, has established the Department of Chemistry under the School of Basic and Applied Science in the academic year 2022-23. The department is committed to providing quality education and research opportunities in the field of Chemistry. The Department of Chemistry is one of the largest departments of campus, department has been engaged in graduate and in the post graduate teaching with specializations in Organic, Analytical, Physical, Medicinal , Polymer and Industrial Chemistry. Recently department has started M. Sc. Course in Medicinal Chemistry. Considering the needs of industries, academia and research organizations, the curriculum / syllabi is updated as per NEP-2020. It has received recognition and respect due to success of admirable number of students in the last two years. Some of the students are pursuing their Ph. D. at CSIR instutues also some are joined phrama industries.
The department also emphasizes the research-oriented approach of the department provides opportunities for students to actively participate in cutting-edge research projects, contributing to advancements in the field of Chemistry.
The goal of the Department of Chemistry and MGM University Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is to provide an engaging learning environment that encourages research, learning, and the overall growth of students who choose to major in chemistry.
