Students to Gain Opportunity to Develop a Scientific Perspective in Physics

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, June 16: Ms. Devayani Jain and Ms. Chanchal Shinde, second-year B.Sc. students from the Department of Physics under the School of Basic and Applied Sciences at MGM University, have been selected for the prestigious national-level training programme, “Summer School for Women in Physics.” The residential training programme was held from June 1 to June 10, 2026, at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru.

This esteemed programme, organized for women students pursuing science education across India, was conducted free of cost jointly by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education and the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences. Only 60 students were selected from across the country, and two of them were from MGM University.

The programme aims to encourage women students to pursue careers in physics. It included simple experiments, demonstrations, discussions on theoretical concepts, exploration of various principles and theories in physics, and an emphasis on understanding interdisciplinary connections and scientific thinking. The training also featured problem-solving sessions, special lectures, interactions with scientists, seminars, and a range of academic activities. Participants were provided with opportunities to express their ideas freely, develop a scientific outlook, and gain a broader understanding of research and innovation in the field of physics.

The programme was open to women students entering the second year of undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Physics. The selected MGM University students were guided and mentored by Dr. Mansi Mahadik and Dr. Nikeshkumar Ingale.

On this notable achievement, the students were congratulated and wished success in their future endeavors by Shri Ankushrao Kadam, Chancellor of MGM University; Prof. Dr. Vilas Sapkal, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Ashish Gadekar, Registrar; Dr. Prapti Deshmukh, Dean; Dr. K. एमजीएमच्या भौतिकशास्त्र विभागातील विद्यार्थिनींची राष्ट्रीय प्रशिक्षणासाठी निवड

विद्यार्थिनींना मिळणार भौतिकशास्त्र विषयातील वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण विकसित करण्याची संधी

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.१६ : महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाच्या स्कूल ऑफ बेसिक अँड अप्लाईड सायन्सेसच्या भौतिकशास्त्र विभागाच्या बीएससी द्वितीय वर्षात शिक्षण घेणाऱ्या देवयानी जैन आणि चंचल शिंदे यांची ‘समर स्कूल फॉर विमेन इन फिजिक्स’ या राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील विशेष प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमासाठी निवड झाली आहे. हे निवासी प्रशिक्षण सोमवार, दि.१ जून २०२६ ते बुधवार, दि.१० जून २०२६ दरम्यान बंगळुरू येथील अझीम प्रेमजी विद्यापीठात संपन्न होणार आहे.

देशभरातील विज्ञान शाखेतील विद्यार्थिनींसाठी आयोजित करण्यात आलेल्या या प्रतिष्ठित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन ‘होमी भाभा सेंटर फॉर सायन्स एज्युकेशन’ आणि ‘द इंटरनॅशनल सेंटर फॉर थिअरेटिकल सायन्सेस’ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने नि:शुल्क करण्यात आले आहे. या प्रशिक्षणासाठी देशभरातून केवळ ६० विद्यार्थिनींची निवड करण्यात आली असून त्यामध्ये एमजीएम विद्यापीठाच्या दोन विद्यार्थिनींचा समावेश आहे.

हा प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम विशेषतः महिला विद्यार्थिनींना भौतिकशास्त्र क्षेत्रात करिअर करण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करण्याच्या उद्देशाने राबविण्यात येत आहे. प्रशिक्षणामध्ये विद्यार्थिनींमार्फत साधे प्रयोग, प्रात्यक्षिके, सैद्धांतिक संकल्पनांवरील चर्चा, भौतिकशास्त्रातील विविध सिद्धांतांचा अभ्यास तसेच विषयातील परस्परसंबंध आणि वैज्ञानिक विचारांची मांडणी यावर भर दिला जाणार आहे. याशिवाय विद्यार्थिनींसाठी समस्या निराकरण सत्रे, विशेष व्याख्याने, वैज्ञानिकांशी संवाद, चर्चासत्रे आणि विविध शैक्षणिक उपक्रमांचे आयोजन करण्यात येणार आहे. सहभागी विद्यार्थिनींना मुक्तपणे विचार मांडण्याची, वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोन विकसित करण्याची आणि संशोधन क्षेत्राविषयी व्यापक समज निर्माण करण्याची संधी या प्रशिक्षणातून मिळणार आहे.

भौतिकशास्त्र हा विषय घेऊन पदवी तसेच पदव्युत्तर अभ्यासक्रमाच्या द्वितीय वर्षात प्रवेश घेणाऱ्या विद्यार्थिनींसाठी हा प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम खुला आहे. एमजीएम विद्यापीठाच्या निवड झालेल्या विद्यार्थिनींना डॉ. मानसी महाडीक आणि डॉ. निकेशकुमार इंगळे यांनी मार्गदर्शन केले आहे.
