Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aug. 4: The induction programme for first-year students admitted to the School of Basic and Applied Sciences at MGM University for the academic year 2026–27 has commenced. As part of the programme, a lecture on “Education Beyond a Degree: Building Responsible Citizens and Better Human Beings” was delivered today by Public Relations Officer Shri Shrikant Yerule. Head of the Department Dr. Moinuddin Siddiqui, faculty members, students and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Addressing the students, Public Relations Officer Shri Shrikant Yerule urged them to dream big and make systematic efforts to turn their dreams into reality. He emphasized that, along with earning a degree, students should actively engage in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, research, certificate courses, NSS, NCC, leadership development and extracurricular activities. Advising students to increase their use of professional platforms such as LinkedIn rather than entertainment-oriented platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, he highlighted the importance of developing habits such as exercise, yoga, pranayama, reading and consistency. He stated that while everyone earns a degree, it is each individual who must shape their own personality. He urged students to use their increasing screen time to work towards achieving their dreams.

Calling upon students to become responsible Indian citizens and good human beings, Shri Yerule said that following traffic rules, protecting public property, exercising the right to vote, standing in queues at public places, disposing of waste only in dustbins, not spitting in public places and respecting the law are the responsibilities of every citizen. He explained that the Indian Constitution is based on the values of equality, liberty, justice and fraternity. He emphasized that, along with money and reputation, it is essential to have a sense of satisfaction in whatever one does in life. He said that only those who make an effort experience failure in life, but failure is never final. If one continues to make efforts, face challenges and move forward with determination, success will eventually be achieved.

The inauguration of the induction programme was attended by Dean Dr. Prapti Deshmukh, Head of the Department Dr. Moinuddin Siddiqui, Head of the Department Dr. Prafull Shinde, Head of the Department Dr. Kranti Zakkade, Head of the Department Dr. Asha Dagar, Head of the Department Dr. Uttara Deshmukh, Head of the Department Dr. Suryakant Sapkal, Prof. Kanika Arora, Dr. Pranay Divate, faculty members and other concerned officials.

एमजीएममध्ये स्कूल ऑफ बेसिक अँड अप्लाईड सायन्सेसच्या दीक्षारंभ कार्यक्रमास सुरूवात

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.४ : महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाच्या स्कूल ऑफ बेसिक अँड अप्लाईड सायन्सेसच्या प्रथम वर्षात प्रवेश घेतलेल्या शैक्षणिक वर्षे २०२६ – २७ वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांचा दीक्षारंभ कार्यक्रमास सुरूवात झाली असून आज जनसंपर्क अधिकारी श्रीकांत येरूळे यांचे ‘एज्युकेशन बियॉन्ड अ डिग्री : बिल्डिंग रिस्पॉन्सिबल सिटिझन्स अँड बेटर ह्यूमन बीइंग्स’ या विषयावर व्याख्यान संपन्न झाले. यावेळी विभागप्रमुख डॉ.मोईनुद्दीन सिद्दीकी, प्राध्यापक, विद्यार्थी व सर्व संबंधित मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

यावेळी बोलताना जनसंपर्क अधिकारी श्रीकांत येरूळे यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना मोठी स्वप्ने पाहून ती साकार करण्यासाठी नियोजनबद्ध प्रयत्न करण्याचे आवाहन केले. पदवीबरोबरच कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, संशोधन, प्रमाणपत्र अभ्यासक्रम, एनएसएस, एनसीसी, नेतृत्वगुण आणि अभ्यासक्रमाबाहेरील उपक्रमांमध्ये सक्रिय सहभाग आवश्यक असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. इन्स्टाग्राम आणि फेसबुकसारख्या मनोरंजनप्रधान माध्यमांपेक्षा लिंक्डइनसारख्या व्यावसायिक माध्यमांचा वापर वाढवण्याचा सल्ला देत त्यांनी व्यायाम, योग, प्राणायाम, वाचन आणि सातत्य या सवयी अंगीकारण्याचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित केले. पदवी सर्वांनाच मिळते; मात्र आपले व्यक्तिमत्त्व हे आपल्याला स्वतः घडवावे लागते, असे सांगत त्यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना स्क्रीनचा वाढलेला वेळ हा आपली स्वप्ने पूर्ण करण्यासाठी व्यतीत करण्याचा, संदेश दिला.

विद्यार्थ्यांना जबाबदार भारतीय नागरिक आणि चांगला माणूस बनण्याचे आवाहन करताना वाहतुकीचे नियम पाळणे, सार्वजनिक मालमत्तेचे संरक्षण करणे, मतदानाचा हक्क बजावणे, सार्वजनिक ठिकाणी रांगेत उभे राहणे, कचरा हा कचराकुंडितच टाकणे, कुठेही न थुंकणे आणि कायद्याचा आदर करणे ही प्रत्येक नागरिकाची जबाबदारी आहे. भारतीय संविधान समता, स्वातंत्र्य, न्याय आणि बंधुता या मूल्यांवर आधारित आहे. पैसा आणि प्रतिष्ठेपेसह आयुष्यात आपण जे काही करीत आहोत, तयामध्ये समाधान असणे आवश्यक आहे. प्रयत्न करणाऱ्या व्यक्तीलाच जीवनात अपयश येते मात्र, अपयश हे काही अंतिम नसते. आपण प्रयत्न करीत, संघर्ष करीत वाटचाल करीत राहिलो की, आपल्याला एक दिवस यश मिळते असे श्री.येरूळे यांनी सांगितले.
