Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sept. 12: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at MGM University organised a special lecture on ‘The Role of Teachers in Nation Building’ on the occasion of National Teachers’ Day. Dr. Prapti Deshmukh, Dean, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, delivered the lecture and interacted with the students.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prapti Deshmukh said that the role of a teacher is not limited to shaping an individual student; teachers contribute to nurturing individuals who go on to shape families, society and the nation. She emphasised that teachers need to keep themselves updated by embracing emerging technologies and work towards the holistic development of students.

Dr. Uttara Deshmukh, Head of the Department; Dr. Kranti Zakade, Dr. Asha Dagar, Dr. Prafull Shinde, Dr. M. Siddiqui, Prof. Karuna Ghodki, Dr. Firdoz Khan, Dr. Asha Nale, Dr. Praveenkumar Dole, Sagar Tayde, Amruta Dange, Sejal Nahar and Majehebin Pathan, along with students and other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.

During the programme, students expressed their gratitude towards their teachers and extended their warm wishes on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

एमजीएमच्या गणितशास्त्र व सांख्यिकी विभागात विशेष व्याख्यान संपन्न

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.१२ : महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाच्या गणितशास्त्र व सांख्यिकी विभागात राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक दिनाचे औचित्य साधून ‘राष्ट्र निर्मितीत शिक्षकांचे योगदान’ या विषयावर विशेष व्याख्यानाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. या विषयावर फॅकल्टी ऑफ बेसिक अँड अप्लाईड सायन्सच्या अधिष्ठाता डॉ.प्राप्ती देशमुख यांनी यावेळी मार्गदर्शन केले.

यावेळी बोलताना डॉ.प्राप्ती देशमुख म्हणाल्या, शिक्षकांचे कार्य हे केवळ एक विद्यार्थी घडवण्यापुरते मर्यादित नसते तर ते एक कुटुंब, एक समाज आणि एक राष्ट्र घडविणाऱ्या आदर्श व्यक्तींची निर्मिती करीत असतात. शिक्षकांनी सध्याच्या काळातील नवनवीन तंत्रज्ञान आत्मसात करून अद्ययावत राहणे आणि विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी कार्यरत राहणे आवश्यक आहे.
